Fear of the Mundane

This is a new piece I just finished.  It attempts to capture the realization and fear that in our lifetimes we will not see a significant change in our consumerism and deviation from capitalism.  The face depicted has shown up in my work before (see the 2009-2010 tab, image 23/31 "Deep down we all know there is more").  The interesting thing about that is both works follow a similar theme, but were done years apart.  The repetition of the face image was done unintentionally; I didn't notice the overlap until I completed the piece.  "Fear of the Mundane," was done on an old skate deck using ink, acrylic, and collage elements, with a ribbon for the finishing touch.
