Hi everybody! I've had a lot going on lately, not much time to throw new stuff up on here. Here's a look at what I've been up to. I still have a few more to paint in the series. Once I get all the drawing and painting done I'm going to play with some framing ideas I've been thinking about. Stay tuned!
Hello. This is the last piece to round out the Faces series. These will be up at Stripe Men in Santa Cruz for the month of January. I'll put all the details up on here in the next couple of days. Enjoy!
Hi all! Here's another one of these face jams, for your face to look at. I have some shows coming up in the new year, that will include these faces and some work that I've never shown, as well as some unknown new stuff. More on that soon. For now just look at the jams on this website, I mean, if you want.
Hi guys! I feel like you know the drill. Here's another stripe face jammer. People have been asking me what all these faces mean. Honestly, I can't really tell you. Of course all of these pieces have at least a semblance of a meaning for me, but that doesn't matter. My "meaning" is irrelevant. My hope is that, you like what you see and then think about whatever it is you feel. Maybe you'll feel something powerful. Maybe you won't. Any farts, here ya go... deal with it.
Here's a couple more of these jammers for ya. I'm having a really good time painting these. Hope you all like it...
This is a piece I started a long time ago. I didn't know where I was going with it and set it aside for a few months. I recently gave it another look and it all fell into place rather smoothly. I have been working in a lot of black and white with a limited palette. It was fun to break out of that for this one. Check it out!
Here is another face emphasizing more design elements. I will be doing a lot more of these in this style. I have a lot of ideas about how to push this further, this one in particular is a small step towards some of the other stuff I'm working on. Stay tuned, hope you like it...
I'm going to be doing more of this. Same idea with the style, just adding more design elements to it. Please, by all means, enjoy...
Here is another. Hope you like it.
Still plugging away at these jams...
Oh hello. Here is another addition to the series. Done on a found frame with acrylic based ink. Look out for a cool project coming soon. Going back to an old collaboration. I'll give you a hint, it rhymes with Everybody boobs but dudes. If you understand that, you are a true hero.
Hello again. This is another face, for the ongoing series. This one is a little larger at 24"x18" I'm currently working on a lot of these in all different sizes. I can't wait to see a bunch of them together. Stay tuned...
Hello, check out some more new faces! There will be many more and they are all for sale, see bio/contact page for info. Hope you enjoy...
What's up dingalings?!? Here's some more weird faces for you. Acrylic ink and pen. ≈ 10"x12" Hope you like it, there will be many more.
Here's a series of smaller faces I've been doing lately.
Oh Hi there! I made this thing with a small wooden crate, empty ink bottles, a mannequin hand, some paint and a little bit of glue. It felt good getting back to making something out of other old things. Anyway, hope you like it.
Hi everybody! This is a piece I did for a friend of mine who shares my enthusiasm for all things Batman. It is inspired by an image out of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's run of Batman. The image stuck in my head from the moment I saw it. When my friend asked for a Batman painting I couldn't not use it. It's an homage to that art with my own touches. I wanted to keep it black and white and I added lots of texture. Anyways, here's some fan art for you, hope you enjoy it.
Hello everyone. I've been working on this for a long time and I finally finished it. It's pretty self explanatory. Ink on canvas, 24"x30"
Hello all. This is a piece I've been working on for a while. I wanted to get back into the sculptural side of things for this one. I built the box from wood panel and did the detail work using small wooden slats. It took a long time to get everything set right and some patience after each layer, but I'm very happy with the result. Hope you like it.
