Floating Planes
/This is the first in a series I'm working on. I'm still interested in illustrating that uneasy, fragile feeling that life puts you in sometimes. It can be a tranquil yet nervous experience. Any farts, that's what's going on here.

Here are a couple of studies I did while nursing one of a handful of eye injuries I recently suffered. I seem to have a magnet for a busted eye. I managed to break my glasses and nearly gouge out my right eye twice over the course of about a month. It got me thinking I should paint something related to the phenomenon. It was interesting making these pieces. It's hard to look yourself in your own eye sometimes, especially when your eye is wounded. If any of you wondered why I have this badass eye scar, details excluded, now you know.
Hello again. Strange, another bat painting. As some of you know this a subject I am very fond of. This one was a great time to do, and it has already found a home. Hope you all enjoy it! Pen and ink.
For this one I wanted to use straight forward illustrating to depict the feeling of not knowing if you will slip and fall or stumble and recover. This is a feeling that is very familiar to me. Often things could go either way. It's that uneasy feeling that can keep some from moving forward. In reality no one truly knows what the next step will bring, which can be terrifying and at the same time exhilarating. No matter how well someone seems to be doing or how solid everything looks, the uncomfortable truth is we will all inevitably come across slippery footing. How we recover is what this crazy thing we call life is all about. It might help to wear cleats. Acrylic and ink on wood panel.
Hello all. It has been quite a while since I've posted on here. I had computer issues that, I just resolved. Over the next week or so, I will be posting some things I've been working on since the falling people collection...
This piece is part of the creatures, the Hobos that I have been working on for years. It's a 3D wall decoration that I modified through cutting, sanding and painting to depict two of the Hobos. I am slowly expanding the universe to include more artifacts and representations of the them. Enjoy!
Hello everyone. Here are a few more pieces from my latest series. I'm getting all the work wrapped up for a show with all of these. More details on that very soon. For now just look at the stuff on here!

Hello again everyone. Here is a batch of falling people that I forgot to post earlier. They are part of the same collection of Falling People I've been working on and posting. These will be shown in October, more details to come on that soon.
Hi everyone! These are some more images from my latest series. These pieces have taken on a more serious meaning than originally intended. They've always been about fear, but in an ambiguous way. They have become much more specific and personal for me. Anyway, here they are...
Hello everyone. I haven't put anything up in a while, but I have a lot to show. This is a series I've been working on a lot recently. There is an overarching story that will link them, but for now I am interested in where the ambiguity takes it. Anyway, check it out. There are many more to come.
Hello again. This piece was commissioned for a birthday present. If you guys know me you know I love, Batman. I've never done a Harley Quinn before so I was very happy to do it. It was a lot of fun.
Hi everyone. I've been staying busy working on these new jams. Starting to put together a nice little collection so look out for a show, hopefully soon. Hope you like the new work.
Hi guys! Here are a few things I've been working on the past few weeks. Let me know what you think. I'm veering a little bit of the path I've been on, just slightly.

Hello everyone! Here are some things that I've been working on lately. I am still slowly expanding the "Hobo" universe, but also working on some other stuff. I'm trying to incorporate more humor into my work. I hope some of that is conveyed here. More to come soon. Anyway, enjoy...
Hi everyone. Here are a few photos of my new workspace and some stuff I've been working on. I've been trying to blur the line between painting and sculpture a little bit. The work shown in here is part of a series I'm putting together that's focusing on re appropriating objects into visual art. They're about giving something that no longer functions as it was intended, a new purpose. Anyway more on that as it develops...

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I put anything up here. Sorry about that, I've been a busy man. I plan on adding more here now that I have a few things straightened out.
For now check out this new series Iv'e been developing. The idea behind it is to create a lost civilization. I call them the Hobo. It is still very much in the works so I'm not revealing too much on here yet. The pieces are done on mostly found materials and recycled frames, with acrylic inks. I hope to have more soon and to eventually build a show around them. Take a look...
Here are some pictures from the Nerd Boner show at Camouflage and the pieces I contributed to a show at Cafe Pergolesi. Out of respect for the people at Camouflage attempting to discretely purchase adult items, I tried to only take pictures of the art and not pictures from the show itself. After all, discretion is the name of almost every game. The work in each show was very different as were the shows themselves, both were a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who came out for the openings! The work is still up so go check it out if your in the area. I'm taking a little breather from shows to work on some larger projects. Stay on the look out for some new stuff soon and continue to support local art.
Hello everyone. Here is some work that will be up in June around Santa Cruz. I will release the specifics soon, so keep your eyes peeled for some Blood on Brushes art around town. Also, I'm working on a somewhat secret project right now, let's just say your day may be brightened unexpectedly just from being in the right place at the right time. More to come on that. And, I'm out... JAM!
Hi all! Here are some pictures from opening of the show that's up at the Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery. As always thanks to everyone who rolled through and to those who purchased art work. There is still work available if you would like to own any Blood on Brushes originals. You're doing a pretty good job supporting local art Santa Cruz, keep it up!
Thanks again everyone. There is a lot more work and shows to be done. Stay tuned!
Here is some of the work that's up in the show at the Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery Friday 5-9 pm.  I hope to see you there! The body of work as a whole is a regular coming of age tale. Please, enjoy.
The opening was incredible. A lot of folks came through to check it out and I got to talk to a lot of very nice and encouraging people. It was a great First Friday all around town and all the artists killed it. Cheers to a great night and to supporting local artists. Here are photos from opening night. Enjoy!
Again, big thanks to Stripe, everyone who came out and to all the artists kicking ass all over the planet. Let's do this again soon.
